Bruges day 1
From Europe in Bruges, Belgium on Jul 24 '08
We have left France and made it to Belgium. The train ride was about 2 and half hours long and the landscape was beautiful. There was so much to do in Paris, we would need at least another 2 days to see everything that was on our wish list. I thought I would absolutely hate it and now I have to say that I would go back.
Adam and I have been working well as a team out here. I am in charge of the map-reading and he takes care of the underground. Can you believe we are working together on this? We are actually co-operating... lol
Bruges is a small city that has architecture that has been the same for the most part since the middle ages. It is like a city lost in time with an H&M. We have only been here for an hour and you could already tell this is a big party town. Beer here is super cheap which is a great relief from what we've seen so far.
Tonight begins a 16 night music festival. They are supposed to be featuring salsa tonight. I am sure Adam and I will completely embarress ourselves.
Oh, here is a little side note: We were at the bus station buying tickets. The vendor said, "That will be 2 Euro 40." Adam replied, "2 Euro farty?" I almost died from laughter.
