Well listeners, watchers and viewers we took a lovely sunny Bundy day and went up to Mt Perry to see the Boolboonda Tunnel. Local web http://www.railtrails.org.au/states/trails.php3?action=trail&trail=85 The tunnel was dug by hand through the 192m of the mountain back in 1883. Lovely and cool inside and is open for one way traffic each way, If you meet in the middle, one will just have to back out. From there we continued on to Mt Perry http://www.walkabout.com.au/locations/QLDMountPerry.shtml where years ago there was a copper smelter. Nothing much left now except slabs of molten rock formations and a slag heap. Still traces of copper, but the smelter has gone. It was a very nice green pastures round trip of 236 Kilometers, good road and got back before the sun became a problem. Home tomorrow for a couple of weeks and just to wait on Warbatons to get the parts in.
