We moved into our new home at 421 NW 4th st. Monday Aug.11th. It's a nice, but old 3 bedroom house in the better part of town, as we're told, "the hill". The neighbors are very friendly; it's in a nice neighborhood of well kept homes which are beautiful craftsman's style, spanish and victorian styles. The yard is fenced in so FINALLY---NO LEASHES for the kids! One drawback, NO air conditioning, which we found out would have been real handy. This weekend the heat soared. On Saturday the temps broke 100 and on Sunday, soared to 105+. I drove around and took photos of some of the bank signs with the temperature. I don't think I've EVER seen 117 degrees before, have you? Granted it was in the sun, but Rich's thermometer in his truck read 108. Oey it was hot, but thankfully low humidity. I don't care what they say, hot is hot!

The other great news is that we are NOWHERE near train tracks, and although trains do run through Pendleton, there is a town ordinance that prohibits them from blowing their horns--thank God for small miracles!

All in all the town seems wonderful, the downtown has a farmer's market every Friday eve. We picked up some fresh produce-yummy blueberries, blackberries, fresh string beans and peaches. Finally, we'll meet our recommended 5 a day! This move is sizing up to be a great one!

Too hot to write any more....

This heatwave is just downright NASTY!

Okay that will be enough travelling you are enjoying these other places way too much. How are we supposed to get you back to Miles City if you find town where the trains don't blow their dang horns? It sounds like you have been to some beautiful places. You made me want to go to EcoPark. Love your blog! Amy T. Your Favorite ATC in MC MT

Dee and Rich, Wow, believe it or not I finally logged into your blog and caught up on all your entries in one sitting! What a wonderful trip thus far. Some of my favorite highlights are AKA Annie Oakley, driving around in circles just to annoy the GPS, Cowboy Mardi Gras, Mt. St Helen. The photos are super Rich!I love the entries, can hear Dee's voice saying all her clever comments. Wow, how much I have missed having your humor about the office. I am inspired by your stories of "Westward Adventure" and am eager to hear more! Hello from Bruce as well. Sandy, Your Favorite OT
