T-rain

    Tomorrow an adventure within an adventure begins. I will be setting off on a 27 hour train ride through India. Alwyn of the Alva brothers has agreed to take a month off and wander aimlessly throughout India with me. Tomorrow we push off to our first destination, Varanasi, a city on the Ganges. After that we have no definite plans, I'm pushing for Darjeeling. I think it would be amazing to drink tea in the shadows of the Himalayas. Plus it is a freaking steam bath here in Mumbai.

Apart from the heat I am having an amazing time. I have had a few death flashes zipping between auto-rickshaws, taxis, and double decker buses upon the back of a motorcycle. No worries, I always come out quite alive, almost lost a foot yesterday, but that's beside the point.

Choo choo biotch!

Don't worry about being jealous that I will see the Indian subcontinent ala Darjeeling Lmt. My budgety self will be riding sleeper class, which means 27 hours on a 3 tier bench that folds into seating during the day. One cool thing is at each stop vendors get on the train offering street food and goodies from their region. Then there's the ever so lovely sound of an Indian man with a silver thermos yelling "chai chai chai". This is gonna be rad!
