Almost 2 months of study sessions and three-day pre-boarding session with GET(Global English/Espaniol Training) teachers and CCs (Communication Coordinators) in Tokyo, the day has finally come!

I embarked on the TSS Topaz (the boat which Peace Boat has been chartering for the past couple of years), a huge cruise ship of Panamanian registry. After touring around the boat and having helped the passengers(nearly 1000 of them!) checked-in, a departure celemony was taken place at 19h45 with a champagne toast at the deck. Port of Yokohama looked very beautiful with the lights and neonsigns of the city. It will be another 110 days later when we come back here again. Yokohama is the city I was born and spent 10 years of my life, so it was a bit special for me to start my trip from here.

At 20h00 sharp, the boat departed from the wharf and slowly started sailing to the next port of calls, Da nang (Vietnam)... very smooth start of an exciting trip!
