A final few days was spent taking in the local area.  The little village of Tamarindo is quite the surf area so draws a young crowd to party late at night.  We know that to be true as we would meet the college age group coming back to the resort as we were getting up to go out on a day trip early in the morning.  The day we left for the airport (3:30 A.M. uff...) we crawled through the crowds on the street in our vehicle.  Many bars were tucked in behind buildings, several souvenir shops and a few shops of odds and ends home furnishings and of course surf shops ready to rent boards and give lessons dotted the streets.  We ate hamburger meat from Argentina - probably the best hamburger meat I have ever tasted and quite a treat at a restaurant.  After that meat it was fruits and vegetables the entire time.  One could easily come back a satisfied vegetarian after eating such a wide variety of prepared combinations.  Amazing how many families vacation in Costa Rica from the United States and Canada.  They are ready to share their countryside daily.  We ended the last night with a few salsa lessons and yes she was born to salsa!  Next trip ...Tango?

Easy to become a vegetarian
