¨Being a destiny strategically located, it just 1000 km of distance of the Peninsula Antarctica and, to count on the infrastructure and tourist services necessary to cover the requirements with the ships and their passengers, Ushuaia it is constituted nowadays like THE GATEWAY TO ANTARCTICA.¨

¨The proximity to the peninsula acquires greater relevance when considering that by the geographic characteristics that the same one presents, in it, the greater diversity of species is concentrated, besides to count on the advantage of being the most accessible zone for the ships that cross the different sites from the Peninsula.  More than the ninety percent of the tourists who know the continent white leave from the port of the city of Ushuaia, which allows them to know the varied ones attractive that this so austral locality has.  These passengers, who surpass the 20,000, have traveled to the Antarctica passing by the local port, or when initiating or finalizing their trip.  This number according to the anticipated estimations, will be increasing in the next years, turning to the city of Ushuaia the most active gate to the Antarctic continent remarkably.¨

Remarkably!

Hi Guys, Congradulations, you made it! I bet that it is pretty cold and windy down there. I am in a huge rain storm here in Missouri, so hopefully you have seen better weather. We are anxious to have you come back now that you have reached your quest. Cassidy, I love you and miss you very much and can't wait until I can give you a big hug and kiss. Love Always, Dad
