The travertines were white calcium formations similar to our pink and white terraces. It was another stinking hot day so we didn’t bother with the Roman ruins of Heirolopois or the ultra expensive Roman Baths, 18NZD each! Instead we went and found one of the nice cool travertine pools to sit in.
