This is my third day in this city. Just passed the previous two days in clueless-ness.. For a (over) sensitive self like I am, staying in this kind of place would be a bit tiring. Everyone looks trying too hard to be perfect. Or, shall I say everything? The MRT stations.. all clean, all cool, all clear.. Low, low, low rate of crime.. a one tiny manageable country, the most laid back government perhaps in the whole world. SOmehow it feels like that place where all the Stepford wives live in. And yes, those kiasus are the wives.

Sweet sweet hotel room. I like the bathroom the best!

I went to Hong Lim food center in Chinatown today for lunch with a colleague. I bet Chinatown is the only place that feels comfy to me, where all the Chinese, as usual, as you can find them anywhere on earth, being reckless and careless. They just don't care whether you smoke or spill your drink inside their cute tiny booth of fried kway teao or curry noodles. As long as you pay and looks sweaty out of their superb cookings, they just dont care.

Somehow it feels like that place where all the Stepford wives live in. And yes, those kiasus are the wives.

Afterhour, I dare myself to go to Bugis night market by myself at 8 pm. Well, apparently all the mental preparation for wandering alone at night NOT in your own country was useless. Singapore is safe. No matter how empty the MRT station is, you just don't SEE anything worth to be suspicious about.

I took my dinner in Tong Seng fast food in a corner of Bugis street. It was a delicious Mee Siam with such strong spices.. just the way I like it.

My apology if I don't write too detail on any shopping center. My primary mission coming here is to get an answer of one of my biggest questions: Tomorrow I'm planning to visit this country's art museum. Just to quench my curiosity whether Singapore does have a culture. Well, no great movie, dance, or even song coming from this country.. It is worth to be curious about no?
