Malaysia is a nice city.  Im glad I stopped here.  I only came here because my flight from the Maldives went through Kuala Lumpur and so I figured I might as well see what its all about.  In hindsight I should've spent a few extra days here.  Its sort of like Bangkok but a bit cleaner.  It also has a similar feel to Tokyo (lots of big buildings with neon lights - sort of like Times Square in NYC).  The country is 60% islamic, but its not hard core like the Middle East or North Africa.  Its definitely more laid back and everyone seemed super friendly.

The first day I headed out to see a hindu temple and couldnt find it.  I walked and walked and it was HOT and sticky.  It turns out I was walking right past it over and over again!  Duh!

You should've seen the beads of sweat on my forehead as I ate.

I didnt have a chance to go to the top of the Petronas Towers - but I had an awesome view of them from my hotel room and they are very pretty when lit up at night.  The city is filled with shopping centers and all sorts of stores.  They are huge!  Much bigger than the one's in the states.

I was finally able to eat sushi here again after 6 weeks off.  And it was awesome.  I still haven't had a drink yet - but at least I'm eating sushi.  The maguro was good and the sake too (which they call shake).

I had some Thai food at the Pavillion Mall across from my hotel.  I asked them to make it slightly spicy.  And BAM!  Spicy it was!  I can't imagine what would've happened if I asked for spicy!  You should've seen the beads of sweat on my forehead as I ate.  Funny!

Malaysia has a great airport. Trains go right from it to the city in only 1/2 hr for $10 US.  Why the US can't figure out how to get one train from the airport to the city is beyond me.  But LA, SF, NYC - nada!  Water was $.67 for a large bottle and the Thai food I spoke about earlier was only $2.  A nice cheap city.  I'll definitely come back!
