This is a country which can be far from western culture. I love it!

After two months working in Melville Island, We dreamt about Bali and now we are for Christmas and new year's Eve. These 15 days were absolutely Wonderful!

I traveled with Simon, a french canadian met in Melville Island and two french girls came from New Caledonia. We met her firstly in Darwin and we give us an appointement in Kuta Bali. The first days were really hard because locals all the time ask for money. I felt like a life-wallet....horrible. But everything was being better when we left this big city. Although i had a good remind of this city between these autels, temples, smily people, girlfriend.

We moved to Ubud to see a traditional show then we rented two motorbikes and drove to Padang bai then Danau Batur (a beautiful volcano). That was a great adventure because Simon had never drive a motorbike so he jumped twice out of road and we lost each other during two hours! lol

the next trip was in One of the 3 Gili Islands during New year's Eve. Gili Trawagan is a tiny island situated in North West of Lombok who is a big island on East of Bali. We spend our New year's time there amid other traveller and no police. Actually, we can turn around this island in 1 hour so no car, no police and magic mushroom on restaurant menus. Unlike magic mushrooms which is legal in Indonesia, you can smoke Sumatra weed there but it's illegal (some years in prison before judgement???) and really disgusting.

I spend two more days in Gili Trawagan without my friends then i went with two locals to Lombok to do a great volcano's trek (Gunung Rijani) and see some Amazing waterfalls.

After that I had had some difficulties to leave all that and come back to Australia with this western Culture.
