Bordeux the city of wine

We arrived in Bordeaux by TGV and Alexandre drove our hired Citroen Picasso. We soon became used to driving on the right hand side and admiring the architecture and landscaping of Bordeaux. We spent 3 nights at Chateau Fullons and champaign at Chateau Mauvesin and were extremely well received at both destinations. Many glasses of Chateau-fort Roquetaillade graves red and white wines were happily and deliciously consumed. We were highly impressed by a tour of a Pope Clement V castle in Aquitenne called Chateaux-fort Roquetaillade which was followed by a delicious roast pork and apples lunch in the medieval kitchen complete with ceiling hung aging ham legs. The roaring open fire added an orange mythical glow to the stone walled room. An exhilerating trip through history.
