Today was play day for the conference. We signed up for an outing to the Waitomo Caves to see the Glow Worms. We were a little disappointed that you only got to see the glow worms for a few minutes on a boat so we signed up for an afternoon outing. We were pretty psyched because it involved a 90 foot rappele, 100 foot rock climb and black water rafting. The rappele was fun, but we were hoping for a more adrenaline rush then a safety first approach. The rafting was great too, but we expected more danger than laying in an inner tube in a underwater cave. With that said it was great fun and we got to see a ton more glow worms. The tour took you through the cave with the second highest concentration of them.

Not only was it play day, but it was Valentine's Day as well. Generally we run into some bad luck on Valentine's Day - power going out of an entire city, falling off of boats in rapids, etc. We maybe should not have chosen anything that involved heights of 90 feet, but we did and it and made it out with all of our limbs intact.
