Arriving at the Blue Mountains by train was a treat as the views as we got closer were more and more beautiful. However the next four days we were to have the coldest, wettest weather of our whole two months in Australia. Still we were determined to have a good experience of bush walking and did three main bush walks. The first was to see Govett's Leap which had superb views over the escarpment at the base of Blackheath. the best thing about all the bush walks we did was that they were able to be done on foot from where we stayed, at a friend's house. The photos show how bad the weather was but the views were outstanding as was the hospitality. Blackheath had a great feel to it, quite young and nice delis and shops as well as two of the best cafes we have found in Australia.
