Walk like an egyptian.
From Jess & Ains in Europe 2007 in Cairo, Egypt on May 15 '07
Arrived a bit nervous as we did not know what to expect, airport was full on, the men did not address us directly. Our tour guide and hotel staff were fantastic and polite. We even ventured out to a supermarket on our first afternoon there, just quietly we were our pants, but we made it through. The rats over there are as big as cats, steer clear from river banks.
The pyramids were amazing!!! We even braved a camel ride, his name was mickey mouse, in true egyptian tradition. We visited a variety of other places including perfumery, carpet school, papyrus gallery and the bazaar, where we totally haggled and got some good bargains, yes we haggled.
All in all it was a great adventure and we would definitely go back. And for all our mates at work who thought we would get robbed by gypsies.....WE DIDN'T!
