This morning I rang the insurance company and lodged a claim and we won't need to do anything until we get back to Warburton's in Bundaberg. In the mean time I'll email a few photos to Warburton's. Then while out called via a Repco shop and got a bundle of large cable ties ready to bind up the damage ready for the rest of the journey. Cessnock called again and we went there to see the craft lady both for Helen to get some more bits and for me to talk to her more about her web site. She was so excited when we left. So from there we went up the Broke road and visited the Hunter Valley Chocolate Shop. Disappointing really because they say they "make" their own chocolates. That may be slightly so, they buy in Belgium Chocolate in large blocks and melt it down and make their own little shapes and gourmet chocolate truffles and sell them at exorbitant prices, $7 for 6 little squares, however, we still bought a couple of bits. From there to the Hunter Valley Botanical Gardens Shopping Village. A group of specialty shops selling everything from books, wine, chocolates, The British Lolly Shop, gourmet ice cream and kitchen trinkets. There is always some little thing you see that you can't get at home. I'm eating a square or two of the Belgium chocolate and it is very smooth. Leaving there at 5pm we headed to the town of Broke, then Singleton and found a shopping centre to get milk and fruit and some meat for tonight. Back to the van park and we made ourselves a cheese dish of Hunter Brie, King Island Blue, tom tomatoes and plain cracker biscuits and washed down with a bottle of Krinklewood Wild White 2004. I then started dinner and we had bought the bits to make a pork stir fry. So I was heating the Wok with a little oil and the lot caught on fire, just a flash, but enough to badly singe the curtains. A lesson learned. Although the curtains must be flash resistant, ie they didn't burn, they are ruined as you can see in the photo attached tonight. The lesson learned is not to have the curtains drawn while cooking. No problem in the past, but there was tonight. Tomorrow we will be picked up at 0925 and delivered back at 5pm. James' Vineyard Tours visits 5 boutique vineyards, exclusive private wine tastings, cheeses and olives and chocolates, so that all sounds OK. My tooth ache may not be that at all, after contacting my Dentist he suggests that I may have a small "sprain" or dislocation of the disc in my jaw joint. Thus the clicking noise and the pain. So I'm not to chew hard stuff, be careful yawning and take some pain stablisers for 5 days and if that doesn't help see a physiotheropist. I am being careful chewing and although it did click a bit tonight, the pain is getting less. Our thermometer is working well it was 15 degrees this morning and got up to 29 through the day and it is down to 18 now. We all seem to have a facination with the weather and we'll be watching the temperature as we head further south.
