Day 4 of the Mystery started out at O & H Bakery in Racine, WI which has been featured several times on the Travel Channel and Food Network. YUMMY Kringles! If you have never had a kringle, they are round danishes (think cake size donut that has been flattened!) that have 32 layers of pastry and butter. It takes 3 days to make a kringle and they come in various flavors. They are available online and I highly recommend the pecan and raspberry! After stuffing ourselves with Kringles we took a guided tour of Racine - home to the Johnson family and company (think Raid and Johnson Wax). Beautiful town! We visited a lighthouse and past many neat places in town. We had lunch at Ye Olde Cheese Box in downtown Racine and then visited the beautiful Gethsemane Lutheran church next door to take a tour and see their stained glass windows. Lovely!! We spent the afternoon in Genesee Depot, WI visiting "Ten Chimneys" the home of legendary Broadway stars Lunt and Fontanne. Tonight we had dinner at the Machine Shed Restaurant in Pewaukee right next to our lovely Comfort Suites. (Think Cracker Barrel with farm stuff all around!--such as tshirts that say "Friends don't let friends drive green tractors". --and no, I did not make that up!) Check out the pics!!
