I landed in Denver around 3:30, had a horrible sandwich, and read in the sun at the bus stop, because the bus didn't leave for Holly and Kyle's until 4:45. It took a long time to get there, but Kyle and his friend Matt picked me up at the bus station. We walked across the street, dumped my stuff into Matt's car, and then went into Jose O'Sheas (a mexican and irish place?) for a drink before heading back to Holly and Kyle's apartment. We had a drink there before heading out for some of the best burgers I've ever had. Delicious. After dinner Matt dropped us off at the apartment and Holly got home right after us. Holly and I stayed up talking until 1:30 - it was SO good to see her.

The next morning Kyle went to work and Holly and I slept until almost 10:30. We got up and both showered and then headed to Boulder to go shopping. I hate shopping, but I love shopping with Holly. We spent too much money, as usual, and then had a delicious $9 buffet lunch at an Italian place. We did a little more shopping and then went and tasted wine. We headed back to Denver, went into a mall quickly to look for something specific before going back to their apartment. When we got back we didn't realize it was already 7:30. We took some beer and some meat over to one of their friend's houses to grill it. We stayed there for a while, but we felt like we were at a college party with way too much testosterone around, so we went into Denver so I could meet up with my friend Cortlandt. We went to a bar after a ridiculous drive around looking for parking. The bar was awesome - lots of Grateful Dead songs playing on the jukebox. I played some horrible pool and before we knew it it was last call. Kyle's friend drove us home (I love sober drivers) and we were up until about 4:30.

I woke up the next morning and felt awful. We went out right when we got up and got a whole bunch of food as well as Kyle's truck. We made a feast. And then I got a migraine. The mimosa is supposed to help with the hangover and oh it didn't. We went to one of Holly's friend's houses and hung out there and grilled some food late that afternoon before going back to their apartment around 7:30. I fell asleep until 9, got up, packed mostly, showered, and went to bed at 9:30. I was so tired.

I woke up Monday morning at 5:30 to get packed and catch my 6am shuttle to the airport. That whole adventure was mostly a blur because the migraine and the excedrin were fighting. I tried to go to the wrong terminal, and then got on the plane to Chicago at 8:45ish. We got to Chicago, I had some food for the first time, and then went to board the flight to Hartford.
