I had wanted to be somewhere special for my 50th birthday and the Iguassu Falls did not disappoint! Waking up in Brazil and crossing into Argentina, one hour behind, to marvel at the thundering cascades of the amazing falls was just great! Champagne with fellow travellers and a beautiful meal in a local restaurant ended a perfect birthday.
There is a 'Lost World' feel to the falls in their jungle setting with hundreds of vultures soaring overhead. We have marvelled at the sights and sounds of the immense falls for 4 days, enjoying the views from above, below and on the water in the company of exotic butterflies, coatis, monkeys and lots of tropical birds.
