If I live on top of a mountain, why do I feel like I'm stuck in the valley?

Bah! I'm still in Angwin. Not that I suppose I should lament that fact--I never intended to not be in Angwin at this time this year. But I guess my true frustration is that I'm still in Angwin and I don't know where I'm going after this. I had laid out such an extensive "check-list" of things to accomplish every month. By the end of March I am suppose to have all the "ground work" of my trip settled, including the purchase of my RTW ticket. It's March 26, and I haven't even finalized the countries I'm going to!

In my defense though, I just tied up a whirl-wind of a school quarter--which ate up all my time in all forms. But still, school obligations can't stand in my way. Regardless of school, come mid/late July my tiny hiney needs to be on a plane seat destined to somewhere. If I only I could decide where somewhere was!

Too bad tomorrow never comes. ha!

China. I think I'll do China first. Well, that at least is what I tell myself every night as I'm dosing into la-la land. It gives me the [false] sense of having a concrete destination and feeling like I'm actually making progress. The next morning though, as I'm brushing my teeth, I'm come to terms [in a bitter way] with reality and realize I have no concrete destination.  But then night comes again...  Well, the lie cycle seems to work for now. Hopefully tomorrow I'll pick out a destination... [Too bad tomorrow never comes. ha!]
