If you haven't played musical chairs in a while...you should start getting your practice in if you ever plan on taking a train ride out of the Beijing Western Train station.  This place is HUGE!  I mean really really big...thousands of people crowding in .. I went to the info desk to find out where we are to wait.  The info person told us to go to the "soft seat" waiting area...which we did.  Once we entered, it was another room crammed with hundreds and hundreds of people!  The lucky one's had a place to sit.  The others, like us had to stand.  It was so much fun to see the anglo tourists come in groups.  There were few to go it alone like us.  Anyway, the funny thing to see was people fighting over seats in the waiting area.  I observed one anglo grayed haired woman who raced a school boys to a seat (music please...)Like hwen the music stops and you get in the seat closest to you, with the victor with a big smile on their face.  The school boy was shocked.  But he knew the rules and gave the seat to her.

Kenton said he now understood why rats ate each other when crammed together.  It was survival of the fittest here.

Nighty night.
