This was one of the planned lynch-pins of my jaunt, always wanted to see these and now I have. The town itself has a quite run-down/tacky casino feel (mostly because of the tacky run down casinos) but the falls themselves were pretty darn spectacular. Took the obligatory boat ride (Maid of the mist) and got soaked through. There's quite a big downdraft from the falls which I hadn't counted on, which made the cheap plastic ponchos lift up to be exposed to the mailstrum of spray and high winds. Nice.

Worth a look, but there's only so much water you can gawp at tumbling over a cliff.
