Hi, have just left the Taman negara, fantastic place! We stayed in a small hut that the power kept going in - sods law says it was always when we were in the shower! Went on a night safari over two evenings on the back/top of a 4x4 - saw wild ox, a leopard cat, pythons (yes the snakes!) and got within a few meters of a slow lorris - a relly cute monkey (see pics).
We met a few people along the way, as there is no beer served there we had to bget our stash from a local chap on the black market :) Needless to say we drew some attention with 24 cans of beer on the table. We went rapid shooting down th river which was lots of fun, and stopped off at a lagoon on the way back for a swim.
'very poisionous' he said!

We did the canopy walk, 45 meters above the floor and a 2 hour trek, thank god we bought our boots there were leeches everywhere and some people got covered! yesterday we trekked to ear cave. Scarlett did not want to go so i went in with guide. My worst fear is small spaces and he has me virtually pot holing then pointed out the scorpion spider a meter to the left of my face 'very poisionous' he said!
It was worth it though, we came out in a small cave where there were thousands of bats hanging, on our arrival tons of them started to fly around our heads, got some great pics. On the walk back round to the entrance to get Scarly the guide nearly trod a 4 ft monitor lizard, bit too close for comfort!

We have left the jungle and got to Kuala Lumpur today. We have booked into a place and are having a mooch round. So much good stuff to buy, we are trying not to spend too much!
