We are now in Puerto Escandido. It was a 6 hour bus ride along an extremely

windy road to the coastline. It is a great beach and has a really relaxed

feel about it.. it´s nice here.

What I love most is that there is no Mc Donald's in sight. There is a surf beach they we have been heading to, and a nice track that curves around the coastline and is a great running track. Its sweltering hot though, so difficult to finish.

I`ve had some troubles communicating with the locals - you really do need to

know spanish to do mexico. I went to the laundry without nath (my

interpreter) and got absolutely no where with that. But as we go along, I am

starting to pick it up and can now order food for myself etc - just need to

learn the numbers so I know how to pay for things! We went out a couple of the nights, which was good fun. The main street has lots of bars to choose from and the drinks are so cheap!

On the last day, the boys played a game of soccer with the locals while I played photographer and as we headed back, the locals were out mending all their fishing nets and the boys helped bring the boats up onto the sand. Getting involved in the culture!

As like everyday so far, it started raining at about 4 in the afternoon, so thats when the sunbaking stops. I´m off on another overnight bus tonight to San Cristobal, another little town we will probably just stay in for one night.
