So, we thought about it and decided, since we are still doing the same stuff pretty much every day, that we would just keep the posts quick for the last leg of Ko Samui.

So on day 7 we drove to Chaweng beach (the most popular destination on the island of Ko Samui). On the way there, our bike overheated and we were fortunate enough to find this cool restaurant with free wifi!

WHO knows what goes on upstairs there!?!?!

After slurping down a couple cokes, cassie had to go to the bathroom (which she refused the local custom of pooping in a hole). So, we walked across the street and into an aircon, what AC is called in all of Thailand, hair salon. I figured what the heck, and got a buzz!

A photo of Cassie's KANKLES after some "sun poisoning" as she likes to call it! They have deflated back to normal size, so don't worry!

So we then continued to Chaweng. Did some shopping and got some DVD's. Also, got a fake rolex and Tag Heuer for $15 US.

We drove back and the bike overheated twice. Did some people watching of tourists renting motorbikes (which I swear some almost crashed on their sidewalk test drives). We laughed... We sat with a couple locals and without speaking to each other both concurred on having no idea how they were going to make it on these highways. Pretty much the old point and laugh routine!

Second overheat brought us to a bar, where a older man, stopped us to tell that our reason for vehicle troubles was that the front brake was clamped partially shut. That explained all of our almost fatal crashes when we hit softer, dirt, roadways. WE got the bike exchanged by our friends at Home Bay! Finally made it home in time for sleep!!

Day 8 we laid out on the beach and got massages! Cassie got manicure, pedicure, foot scrub, and aloe vera massage! Freakin' crazy!! I got a neck and shoulder (more like an upper body though). It was great.

We then ventured back to Chaweng beach and did some dinning and shopping during the night! Sand was like pure silk and it was dusk, so very few people on the beach to bother us!

Night life there is very busy, we did some more shopping and got some more great DEALS on DVDs, jeans and sunglasses! We finnished off Chaweng by each getting hour long foot massages at rather busy massage parlors at 11pm at night! WHO knows what goes on upstairs there!?!?!

BYE!!

Cass and Paul, Sure is fun to hear from you---I've come to my computer 3 time in the past day to see if there is more journal--Oh, Cass your feet look so painful--I am sooo glad they are better! When reading your log, it makes me really want to plan a trips to Thiland--Wow, the beaches sound wonderful, but so do the retaurants, and message parlors, if you can please jot down the names of these places in hopes that we also may visit them too. Yesterday, it got up to 58F, which was an all time high for this time of year!!--but later in the pm it got colder and damper! Looking so forward to hearing from you again--especially love the pictures. Love ya, M&D
