Just thought we would give you all an update on what we've been up to over the last couple of months..

Mostly we have been trying to work!  But in our spare time we have been to.....

*We went to the Hunter Valley wine region with Mike for the weekend.  We had extremely hot sunny weather.  We tasted some wines, had cream tea and played pentanque.

* Then we had a downpour at Mikes house, so went off to explore his creek. We got stranded for a while for the creek that we had crossed 10 mins earlier had risen too high for us to cross!

* We have been to some really nice beaches, you often have to get a ferry across the harbour which offers superb views itself. We have also been checking out Sydney's nightlife.

*They closed the Harbour Bridge for it's 75th anniversary so that the public could walk across it. they put on a fantastic display and we all felt patriotic even thought non of us were Aussies!!

*We went to a AFL ( Australian Football League ) game , where we watched the mighty Swans play. It was a great atmosphere and Hayden bought us the scarves !!

*My cousins Mary and Alex came over to visit at Easter. Julia and I went on a trip with them around the Sydney area. we have a very jam packed 6 days. We went up to the hunter valley again, as we had such a good time there last time :), Then on to Myall Lakes National Park. It is really beautiful comprising beaches, sand dunes, lagoons and lakes all with crystal clear water and golden sands. The rainforest comes down onto the beaches. We then travelled to the Blue Mountains and did some bush walks. Nest to the Northern Beaches in Sydney. I took Mary and Alex to Palm Beach ( where Home and Away is filmed!!). It was very sad to see them go and it means back to work for us ! On our last night we went to the Opera House to see the ballet Don Quixote.
