Monica's visit from Spain

So Monica came to visit from Spain this weekend. I went to meet her at the airport on Thursday night. I had the bus route all planned out. I was going to catch the 737 bus from the Bradford Interchange to the Leeds Airport. So I get there in plenty of time and wait for the bus to come. I ask a couple other passengers if they are going to the airport and a gentleman says he is. I thought to myself, Okay I'm on the right bus. So when the bus comes we got to get on it. The bus driver tells us that the 747 goes on a more direct route to the airport and that it should be coming in about 10 minutes. I'd like to point out that "should" is the key word, of course it doesn't. So now I'm in a bind becuase someone has to be there to meet Monica. I have no way of contacting  her once she gets out of the arrival terminal at the airport. The man I had talked to before had to get to the airport to catch a flight so we ended up getting a taxi together. He was very nice and I got to talk to him about the company he works for. It's like a small discount department store chain that has stores in smaller communities. The total fair was about 18 pounds but he said I could just pay 5 and he'd get the rest because I was a poor university student. That was really kind of him.

At the airport I only had a few minute wait for her plane to come in. It was really easy to find her gate and everything so I was grateful for that. When Monica got off the plane we waited for the next bus back to the interchange and took that. Then we walked up the hill to my halls.  I had arranged it with Ramsey and Josie to make dinner over at Ramsey's flat so that we could have the entertainment of his roommates. They did not disappoint me. We made this Hawaiian dinner that Ramsey's made for us before, it sounds disgusting but is actually really good. You cook white rice and then put a hamburger patty on top of it, then you put to fried eggs and ketchup and gravy. I also like to add sweet corn to mine. Like I said sounds gross but it's really good and really filling. After dinner we gathered blankets and stuff from a couple people to make a bed for Monica. She met a couple of my roommates as they came by.

Friday morning I had class at 11 so we got up and made French toast, which I enjoyed a lot becuase I got to use some of my precious syrup. Everyone in the US takes it for granted, no syrup here :-( I thought I just had lecture so I told Monica I'd be back in an hour, well actually I had lecture and tutorial so I asked Margeaux to stop by and let her know. When I came back we headed into town to walk around. I hadn't been to the Bradford Cathedral yet so we hiked around until we found that. Then we tried to find "Little Germany" which I no longer believe exists. During that excursion we ended up running into the Cinema  and picked up a leaflet of the movie showing times. We went to watch the movie about Queen Elizabeth I with Kayleigh and Gaynor later that night.
