We've been to Osaka twice. The first time to see Osaka Castle and then last week to visit the Peace Museum with a history class. Osaka was bombed 8 times during WWII and thousands died. Very little was left standing so there aren't a lot of historic sights.
Osaka Castle is outstanding with a large park area, great inner and outer stone walls and a museum in the main Keep.
