Indianapolis IN

We left Columbus around 3-4pm and stopped in Indianapolis on our way to Chicago. I was driving, and I expected out look at the city to be done solely from the car, after all, the only things that I've ever heard about this place are the Indianapolis 500 and that it's the home of the Colts (Alan's favorite team). Jeff and I were pleasantly surprised with at least the downtown area of the city. We drove around for a bit, and after realizing that it's a nice place to walk around, we parked and took an hour or so to explore. In the center of the city is a large round-about with a plaza and tower in the middle. It was a dollar or so to take the elevator to the top, so we did that. It was incredibly hot that day, and the heat was amplified in the tight, closed quarters of the top of that tower, but it did have great views. After that we pretty much just walked around, took in the city, and then jumped back in the car to head for Chicago. Nice little city… more than I expected… very pedestrian friendly.
