Huacachina is a small oasis near the major city of Ica.  The sand dunes stretch 200 km to the south.  I got off the bus in the morning, went sandboarding, showered, ate and took a bus north that afternoon.  The sandboarding was great.  Its not exactly like snowboarding, but u can turn and also get going pretty fast.  It also really hurts when u fall though, the sand isnt as soft as u would think.  I didnt spend too much time here, i just really wanted to go sandboarding.
