Leave the campsite early and navigate through the centre of Brisbane ok - why the aussies don't build ring roads is a mystery to me ! Past Ipswich on to Toowoomba where we stop on a high cliff top (Picnic Point) for a scenic cup of tea and yummy blueberry cheesecake - we are burning all of these calories honest :-) We do a short walk around the gardens in Toowoomba which are lovely and then back in the van. After lunch at a pleasant roadside stop (they are all built or supported by the Lions here - not sure why). Anyway arrive in Warwick after driving through farmland and fields upon fields of sunflowers. Do a walking tour of the town to see all the nice sand-stone buildings - I kid you not - there are lots of them - churches, post office, town hall, court house, police station etc. Warwick is the second oldest town in Queensland after Brisbane so has some history by Aussie standards. Go to the caravan park which is the most basic we have stayed in yet but is clean and respectable (also the cheapest so you can't complain - you get what you pay for).

Drive into town for dinner at a nice cafe on the main street and then walk the pretty gardens - think Jephson's those local to the real Warwick - full of roses and very nice. Warwick is famous for rodeo and roses - weird combination I know.
