Well I'm back home from a lovely week in Canada! I kept my journal upto date everyday so that I wouldn't miss a thing out when I wrote it here and in my online travel journal. Have a look at my photos some of them are really funny! Day 1 - Travelling Day - Well as you know from my previous post I didn't get much sleep the night before!

My Dad came to ours for about 6am and we left for the airport at about 6:30am so we got there for 7am. We said bye to my dad and checked in for our flight, we were told that the flight was on time which was a huge relief because I had checked on AirTransat's website before I left and it said that it was 2 hours delayed.

We walked around the airport and it came up on the screen that the flight was delayed 20 mins , not bad we thought, until it kept going up and up and finally it was .... you guessed it! 2 hours delayed! Why they didn't just be honest from the start is beyond me! Anyway, we got on AirTransat (URGH) for a really uncomfortable 7 1/2 hour journey to Toronto. I dunno If I mentioned this the last time we went to Canada but this plane is the most uncomfortable and cramped plane in the world, I think I had a more comfy flight when i was on Ryanair!

Anyway we arrived at Toronto at about 3pm local time, we went through Immigration and got our cases and then had to go to the Globespan desk to get our Niagara Airbus to our hotel in Toronto. The weather was gorgeous and the airport was boiling! I stood in line at the desk waiting to get sorted and I swear to God only British people have the cheek to push in the queue, not to be agist but older british people just HATE queuing! Me being me can't keep my mouth shut so i told several people that there was a queue and to get in it. I got to the front of the queu and got the guy whos first day it was, fair enough but I basically told him what he had to do cause he messed up, not his fault really but took loads longer.

We waited for about 40 mins to get our bus to Toronto and got to the hotel, we decided that we were just going to through our bags in and head out for a drink at the Hard Rock Cafe in Dundas Sq. Another 30 mins or so of queuing we where checked in the Days Inn Hotel (rolls eyes) and went to our room. No offence and I know its a low cost hotel but really they should do something with the decor and the lifts! We had a lovely view out our window (not!) of the lower roof and a huge apartment block but hey we were not there to sit in the room looking out the window!

We went to the lift and waited for about 10 mins for that to come and went to Hard Rock - Toronto seemed so much more busy than it was in October and I think maybe it was because the weather was so gorgeous, we went to Hard Rock and it was packed! We hat down and YMCA came on, the waiters and waitresses all got up on the bar and took some customers up with them to dance. It was so cool to walk into that but a bit loud after being awake for 19 hours. LOL We had our dinner which was gorgeous and a few drinks and walked back up to the hotel, we went the the bar in our Hotel for another drink but i was too tired and went back to the room.

By the time I got to sleep on that first night i had been awake for 21 hours! I will say this tho for the Days Inn - the bed I was in was sooo nice and like a fluffy white cloud! I slept like a log! *******************************************************************

Day 2

Woke up bright and early after a lovely sleep and John and I went to the Golden Griddle across the road for an all you can eat buffet. It was only $8.99 plus taxes and it was really nice and filling, our plan was today to walk down to the Skydome to try and get tickets for that nights Bluejays game agains the Boston RedSox (Baseball). We walked all the way down Yonge street (the longest street in the world, it starts from the front of Toronto and takes you all the way up to the Winnipeg/Minnesota border - Would take 36 hours of none stop driving to get from one end to the other!).

We got to the harbour and decided to book ourselves on the Harbour Cruise which we had wanted to do this time. After we got those tickets we walked to the Rogers Centre (Skydome) and got 2 absolute brilliant tickets for the game for only $32 each which was about £16.00. John got REALLY excited because this is the main thing he had wanted to do. After we got the tickets we had to go back to the hotel to get more money so that we could get ourselves a Bluejays t-shirt or something.

We got the money and got a taxi back down to the harbour so we could go on the crusie at 11am. The Cruise was really good and the Tour Guide was very funny. I'd love to go back to Toronto in the summer and go over to Toronto Island for a day. After the harbour cruise we decided to go to the CN Tower again and this time go upto the Skypod which is the highest part of the CN tower and is 147 Storeys high, it is the highest you can go on a man made structure as the CN tower is the tallest in the world!

It was so crazy being so high up, I was a bit scared lol we actually seen a small cesna plane flying over the Toronto island and it was lower than we where!! We went down to the observation deck of the CN tower and I lay on the glass floor again for a picture and this time john put both feet on the glass floor! The picture came out crappy but i was proud of him for trying LOL.

After the CN tower we had to go back yet again to the hotel for more money! We went for our dinner at the Eaton Centre and i had the mnost gorgeous Chicken and Shrimp Spaghetti and John had a realy nice homemade burger. I can't remember the name of the place but I would recommned it if I could! LOL

After our meal we went to the Bluejays shop in the Eaton Centre and John got a sweater, we then went back the hotel AGAIN and got MORE money and headed off to the game after waiting for about 10 mins for the lift. We squashed into the lift which was jam packed with people and it stopped on every floor on the way down. One guy was waiting on the 3rd floor and he was a pretty big fella, the lift opened and he just looked at us and said "its ok" lol as the doors closed an American shouted back "You're too big ner ner" LOL LOL John and I couldn't stop laughing when we got out.

We had to get another taxi down to the Rogers Centre and we went into the Bluejays shop their. I got a Bluejays Jersey & a pink Jays cap but i looked such a pleb in the cap, John got himself a cap aswell. When we got into the game it wasn't as big as what i had expected it to be.

We went to the bar to get some beers and they wouldn't serve me and I didn't have any ID with me, there was a sign that said if you look under 30 they have to ask for ID (even tho the drinking age in Canada is 19) I asked if they would serve John and they said yes!!! Ha Ha Gutted!! John is only 21 and I'm 27.

We sat down to watch the game and the Jays fans where hilarious, we were surrounded by Red Sox fans but they where shouting to the Jays left outfielder Hinske telling him that he sucks etc, he could so hear them and I felt so sorry for him but it was so funny. They where also shouting to the Red Sox left fielder Nixon. The funniest part tho was when the beer guy came down the steps shouting "hear thee, Hear thee, I cometh with Beer!" & "Nothing says I love you better than a cold beer" LOL The game was great but we were losing 6-2 in the 8th inning (there are only 10 innings in Baseball) so we left before the rush and got a taxi back to the hotel, when we got there we put the game on to see the score and it was still going and it was 6-6!!!!

We couldn't believe it!, The game finished at about 11:10pm and ended in the 12th inning (overtime) with Jays winning 7-6!!!

Day 3 -

We had a really quiet day, we walked down yonge street again to the hockey Hall of Fame and Air Canada Centre to try and get me some car stickers. They only had a huge pack which was $39.99 and way too many stickers that I wouldn't use so we left it. I got a gorgeous Pink Leafs hat from the hockey hall of fame and then we walked around the Eaton Centre for a bit, John bought himself a different Jays hat as the first one didn't fit him that well.

We then went back to the bar and had a few drinks there and a snack and then went back to the room. The weather was awful and I was in so much pain from walking!
