Juneau, capitol city of Alaska, is an enjoyable place to visit. I saw the glacier, cruised the shops downtown and had lunch on the waterfront. Lunch was the kind of typical Alaska experience that keeps me coming back...we were sitting by the picture window looking over the harbour when waiter stopped by and told us that another employee had called in on their way to work to announce that some whales were headed our way. Sure enough in 10 minutes or so we watched 3 whales cavort in the harbour. The fact that this happens all the time is cool, but the fact that people still care enough to call and let others know so they can enjoy it is fantastic!
