Hola amigos....

Man what a mission!!  We left Mal Pais at 5:30am ready to catch a 6;30 boat across to Jaco....then we get told that the seas too rough so we had to do the trip by land./..(turned out to be 5hrs instead of a sweet 1hr trip!)  Was stink cos had arranged to meet Dan early in the morning in Jaco...ended up missing each other and then we all caught up again in Dominical.  Another surf spot along the Pacific...was pretty nice there...and we laxed out for a few days and enjoyed a couple of good surfs.  After Dominical we caught the local bus down to Golfito and unfortunately had to spend the night there...our hotel was comfy enough and we ate a good meal there...but the town was a bit of a let down.  We enjoyed a good nights rest and caught another couple of buses to Pavones.. (A famous surf spot for having Central Americas longest left hand break).  Was a pretty laid back little village, with a pub (where we enjoyed some good games of tabletennis) and a few hotels/ restaurants.  The reef break was quite fun, and we had a couple of good surfs... would have been cool to see it when it was really working cos the locals told us that they have a horse and cart waiting at the end of the ride to take you back to the start of the wave again!!  We chilled out here for a few days...then decided to move on to .... Panama......... to be continued.. ;-)
