the valley full of dead kings.
From middle east not middle earth in Luxor, Egypt on Oct 30 '04
Im sure indy would find a story for this place, but i cant. pretty much you got the valley of the kings which is one of the must see's of egypt, apperantly. true there is a lot of history in that valley, but who can honestly get that excited about a walk through a cematry. there's also that temple to that chick thats imposible to pronounce just befor you get to the valley, all in all though you have to see them if only to say that you were there.
The real jem for luxor was, in my opinion, the temple of karnak. In its well restored state you can see the sheer size of this temple. Huge coloums rise 30m or so in to the air, not just 1 but 50 or more. the site streches over a few acres, so allow a few hours, and colour hieroglyphs are spoted through out. It almost creates a time warp, taking you back to egypt in its glory days.
Travel through the time warp.
