Lake Hefner - nowhere near the Playboy mansion!!

So from sunny humid Florida to sunny not quite so humid OK C - as the locals call it! Well in all reality a small place on a lake called Lake Hefner and a small cancer centre - like the movies is the only way I can describe it! A small private road with 6 or so privatge clinics, amazing buildings unlike anything we would see in the UK. Great people though and very friendly.

Not quite as isolated as last week so there was actually somewhere to eat and DRINK! Quite place but not too bad at all and friendly staff. On the second night in there got chatting to the barmen who is in a Seminary and wants to be a Baptist minister, good guy though!! Then a chap came in who's father was from Sri Lanka and a missionary and he also went to a boarding school in India and understands all that goes with that! SO there we were sitting at the bar, all connected to religion, two well travelled private school guys in the middle of Lake Hefner - got admit it is a strange world! Great people though and we all had a good laugh. Met Mark - fellow boarding school chap - the following night too and chatted, put the worlds to rights and talked about travelling, he'd done lots, really a rareity here.

I even did some work - infact quite a lot and enjoyed it too! Back here and around this area in a couple of weeks for more...

Am now sitting in a bar - the ONLY bar in OK C airport, waiting for my flight to Vegas as I am off to see Sally for the weekemd, only a brief visit but better to see her when I can than wait for WEEKS...

Office for 2 days next week then off to Maryland - no time or peace for the wicked - IT'S ALL GOOD and great fun...
