Ayers Rock was the last new place for me to visit on my Australia trip and the last couple of weeks saw me re-visiting old territory, starting with a long weekend in Melbourne. I'd really enjoyed Melbourne the first time around and was nice to have another couple of days there although a very big contrast from the trip to the centre! I thought i had seen a fair bit of the city the first time around but staying in a different part of the city I ended up seeing different things I had realised were there! On our first full day we went up to the Observation Deck on the Rialto Tower and was very impressed by the views of the city, and were lucky to have a nice weather day so could see quite far and made for good pictures! We spent a good chunk of the day walking around the city and out to the Botanic Gardens which was very relaxing. Another thing I did was the Neighbours Tour! Yes very cheesy but something I wanted to do just for the hell of it. It was a fun afternoon and the tour took us to Ramsay Street and Erinsborough High etc and included meeting a member of the cast afterwards!

Off to Sydney and the main reason I was looking forward to coming back was to do the Bridgeclimb. Even though I was looking forward to it I was also a little nervous as was worried it might be tough work but as it turned out really need not have worried as it was taken at a slow pace. We had a great guide who made the climb a lot of fun and very interesting. We spent much of it guessing where he was from as his accent was a real aussie-american hybrid. The Bridgeclimb is expensive but I think it was definitely worthwhile and would rate it as one of the highlights of my trip. The rest of my time in Sydney was enjoyable and had a quick visit to the Powerhouse Museum which was very interesting and also spent more time around Darling Harbour, The Rocks not to mention Circular Quay and the Botanic Gardens where got yet more photos of the Bridge and Opera House!
