ko chang to ko samet was straight forward enough. i missed the ferry so jumped on a speedboat, the only way to the port of ban pai was in a tourist mini bus. we'd so far managed to avoid these little beasties as they're expensive, tend to stop alot and definately not as comfy as thai's proper bus service. i also strongly suspect our driver was taking a little somthing to help him along but the journey but we arrived safely.
the resort isalnd of koh samet  is a national park and all tourist have to pay a fee to a standard fee to stay on the island. however if you can charter a speedboat they can avoid the main pier and drop you off on a beach, sneeky.

hearing this i assumed that the beach dan had chosen would be a quite little spot, instead the one man crew of a young bloke beached the 25 ft speed machine onto a really busy resort beach. we then jumped off with our packs on, trudged through the surf, made our way around the sun bathers and straight into the first bar we saw!
the place was really busy but after a while we found ourselves at tok's little huts. Our huts were the cheapest on offer and up a bloody great hill which seemed to double as a rubbish tip! nice.
