The biggest island in Greece, Crete, was the next morning’s stop but we only had 2 hours to spend here. Strange. There was only enough time to visit the Archaeological Museum in Crete’s capital city, Iraklion, which displays treasures from Knossos (most famous archaeological site on Crete and site of largest Minoan palace) and all over the island. I never want to see pottery again because of this museum. The first room of pottery I could handle but there were just too many rooms-it was never ending! There was some jewelry from back in that Neolithic and Minoan time that was pretty intricate considering what tools they had to work with so I amused myself with that but not for long.

We are not sure...but had to take a picture

We heard that Crete was a beautiful island so we were choked that we couldn’t see more of it. But knowing that in a couple hours, we got to ride donkeys in Santorini, we didn’t care about not seeing much more of Crete and took a taxi back to our cruise ship, but not before I picked up a 40 of Absolute Vanilla Vodka for 7 Euros at the duty free shop. SEVEN EUROS! That is about $10 CDN! We were very excited and hopped on the ship for a quick nap before the Donkey Riding.

I never want to see pottery again!
