We highly recommend the Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park - just beautiful up there. The town of Bar Harbor is touristy, but the park and surrounding area is just awesome. We did the drive through Acadia, did Lobster for dinner in town, shopped and then the next day drove to the different harbors near Bar Harbor. We walked to the beach and did some rock finding in the tide pools. We also went to the top of Cadillac Mountain, where you can look down and see Bar Harbor as well as many different islands - just beautiful!!! Try to get there for sunrise or sunset!!
