Kathryn trying on shoes at M.E.C. We need shoes that would stand walking around alot in Europe. My feet really suck too so I needed good ones! She's wearing the soft shell jacket we bought so we don't have to take hoodies. booo

Ok. So we live here and this is the first travel journel I've done, so I'm not too positive if I'm doing this entry quite right, but that's ok. Alright, so getting started. We began our preparations for Europe for a trip to Mountain Equipment Co-op. That store is freaken amazing! I had never been there before, and I was surprised at how well it was set up. They have a full scale climbing wall and displays that would make a hard core camper's mouth water. They even have "terrain" for you to test your boots on. Anyways, we went there for the basics: soft shell jackets (im not allowed to bring any hoodies :( ), backpacks, and of course: Canadian flags! I'm excited for my backpack, it carries 75L and I'm going to decorate it with patches for all the places that I've been too. Going shopping for all the stuff made me realize how quick the trip is coming. That was pretty exciting. Dad wanted us to try and see what we could carry so Mom and Kathryn packed her suitcase and had her try it on. Apparently she almost fell backward. I wasn't there, but it sounds pretty funny. So we leave in two weeks. I wanted to take down every aspect of the trip, and that is why I have this boring home entry. Tah~

Me, with the most comfortable sleeping bag on the PLANET! the display was so awesome, they were all hanging there like worms. This baby can be slept in at -30 degrees! I love M.E.C!
