Don't have a whole to say today. We spent today enjoying the ocean and the sun and had to attend to the business of packing.

The one thing that we did today was to take a walk to the Tsunami memorial located not far from our hotel. We are staying in the area affected by the Tsunami. I didn't feel nervous about staying here as that was a rare event. There is signage everywhere around related to evacuation routes. We figured since we had the second and third floor of our hotel was our escape plan.

The tourism areas here appear to have recovered from all the damage. In talking to some of the locals though, tourism rates are still lower than before. We truly enjoyed our stay on Phuket and I would encourage anyone to visit here. It is a beautiful area and the people are wonderfully nice. Just stay away from the hotel that we stayed in on Phi Phi!

Throughout I stay in Thailand, I realized how much we have and take for granted sometimes. Jeff and I had many long discussions while we were here about how people can be happy with different things. I have thought of different things to say about that while I write this, but I am afraid that it will end up not sounding right and fitting in with the rest of this blog. Overall this is a wonderful place to visit and it is well worth it if you the chance!

I felt some sadness watching the sunset, knowing that at this time tomorrow I would be on a plane on my way back home (to the cold). Overall, I enjoyed our whole trip through Thailand and I would love to come back here again sometime.
