Hello all,

I’m going to write a very short journal about arriving into Luxembourg. For most of the day I was at the university. I wasn’t researching though because I had nothing to do. I planned on doing some membrane tests with Florize but the membrane (PTMSP) didn’t cast well. I have already finished the GUI I made for the researchersguapos. So I spent most of my time just fooling around online, planning a trip to Switzerland.

My train to Luxembourg left Nancy at 1840. I thought it left at 1800 so I waited at the station for more than an hour. When I boarded I almost immediately fell asleep. I was drowsy throughout the ride.

I arrived at Luxembourg city at 2000. The youth hostel international was across the city from the station so I got a quick tour of the city. My first impression was that it was definitely a different European city. I don’t know how to describe it. It seems very modern and wealthy but still holds the olden-day European/medieval feeling. I really liked it! I found the hostel pretty easily with Let’s Go’s map. The lady at the check in spoke French, German, and English! She helped a German lady in front of me and spoke French on the phone before helping me in English!

The hostel is really nice and well kept. I’m paying 22 euros/night. I already had dinner at the train station in Nancy so I just sat outside and read about what to do tomorrow. That’s it! I’m off to bed now, ciao!
