May 25 we flew back to Saigon via Bangkok. As the only airline to fly from Koh Samui we flew with Bangkok Airways. They are a small boutique airline with fantastic service. They have their own lounges available to use with free drinks and food and internet services available which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable.
Having a few hours to kill between flights we went into Bangkok city for some shopping and to revisit the people we bought the silk for our wedding from. After a late afternoon flight we arrived in Saigon.

This time we stayed in a popular backpackers area called Pham Ngu Lao. This aera has around 100 mini hotels at very reasonable rates. We stayed at the Hong Hoa hotel in a very nice room with a/c and satalite tv and seperate bathroom for US$14 per night. All booked over the internet a few days prior very easily however just turning up you would find a hotel with no trouble.
The main reason for a second visit in only a month was the War Remnants Museum. Very interesting. Did a tour of the city by motor bike. The easiest way to see and navagate the crazy streets by people who have lived and ridden them all their lives. We also visited Cholon which is the largest Chinese settlement in Vietnam taking in ChinaTown and some of the traditional herb shops as well as the Quan Am Pagoda.
