Byron Bay..

We picked up our new home for the next three weeks in Brisbane, after a very shaky scary flight from Sydney. Nearly thought we weren't  going to make it alive due to the tropical storms ripping through the east coast of Auz.

The temperature when we arrived in Brisbane was close to 35 degrees with near total humidity.. Felt like we had walked into a tumble drier. Quickly headed south to Byron Bay about a 2 hour drive down the highway.. What we didnt know until we arrived was that it was 'schoolies week' meaning that the town was swamped with crazy kids just after finishing school. Most of them were between 16-18 years old. Looking at them it was very obvious they were on their first parent free holiday.

The beach here in byron bay is another class beach, with great views from the light house and the most easterly point of Auz. While we were there we got a call to say that suzannes sister jenny got engaged to dave in sligo. A big surprise and great excitment from home. So my first bridesmaid job coming up in september,  I've been warned to come home in March as planned for preparations.... How exciting!

We stayed in Bryon for three nights just chilling out on the beach after the hectic city breaks it was nice to relax for a while.
