The heat here is incredible!  We didn't expect such beautiful, hot, sunny days in this Barvarian capital.  Although we love the sun, it will take us a while to aclimatise to the heat.

After a 3 hour walk to find the visitor information centre (actually only 15mins from our Hotel in the right direction!) we headed our for a lovely dinner in a local restaraunt.

Asparagus seems to be the in thing here at the moment, this place has an entire asparagus menu!  Our meal was supurb and even better becuase we had a 50% discount voucher from our hotel.  We sat outside in the beer garden and enjoyed the warmth of the evening.

View down to the main Plaza from the top of a very tall steeple, which we climbed 300 steps to get to!

I feel a bit ashamed to admit that we ate Italian food on our first night in Germany, but it seems very common here, and the pan friend gnocchi with spicy tomato sauce was divine, as was Tim's Argentine steak.

We made use of the Tourisit Hop On / Hop Off bus and did a basic circuit of the inner city.

We passed many galleries of fine and contemorary art and a rather interesting place called Konigs Platz or Kings Square, it has a very unexpected replica of the West entrance to the Parthenon in Greece!

Our first stop was Marien-platz, a busy square surrounded by several amazing buildings.  Including the New City Hall which housing the Glockenspiel a cool clock with little figures that dance and perform for 15mins.

We climbed the 308 steps to get to the top of Churh of St Peter to get an amaing view!  Thankfully Wendy stayed with Grace so we didn't have to carry her up as well!

Tomorrow we are off to Dachau, we have mixed feelings about the visit, but know it will be worthwhile.
