Firstly, apologies for the lack of entries over the past few days but I haven’t had any access to the internet to be able to upload them. However, they are there now. Thanks for all your concern that I was ok, but yes I am. Although did have some guy trying to get into my room last night which was more than a little disturbing, seeing as this face appeared at my window (I was on the 2nd floor!). He said he was looking for his father’s room. Mmm… was less than impressed. But am safe and sound so fear not! Today I left Salt Lake City and travelled south through Utah to Cedar City. To be perfectly honest, nothing of any note occurred today, apart from some beautiful scenery. Oh, and the police drive pick up trucks out here which I thought was quite funny! I’ve decided I quite like Utah so far (apart from the Mormons, and apart from the lack of much to do in Salt Lake City). The towns I drove through today seemed quite nice little places – very well maintained with pretty houses. Also, there is the proverbial HUGE church in each place, but I could let this slide… I drove through a scenic route today which took me up to 10,000 ft so there were some amazing views from the top. I saw Zion Canyon from this vantage point which I shall be visiting tomorrow and it looks amazing. Over the next few days I shall be checking out Utah’s national parks which I am really looking forward to, as from pictures I’ve seen they look spectacular. Cedar City is quite a small little town, but is nice enough. Tomorrow I head back into the middle of nowhere to a place called Torrey which I think will be a bit like Dubois again, but my room there does promise to have the internet so fingers crossed!

Claire. I know you are young and obviously not too worldly-wise as yet: but WHAT AN OPPORTUNITY you have missed!!!! A man tall enough to peer into your second-floor window!! You should have crated him up and brought him home with you. We could have put him on show at the very next Hampstead Heath Funfair... you know in the Freak Section. Keep your eyes peeled for the next likely candidate. Make some money girl. xx

Did you pass or see the salt lakes. That must be amazing and of course huge as they have cars there doing 700mph, so presumably a long straight strip to stop on! Are you booking rooms very far ahead, or just next day?
