We got into Salzburg late at night, so we just spent the night hanging out in the hostel.  The next day we made our way into the city, which was really gorgeous.  I think it was the prettiest place we went to on the trip, the view of the Alps was just amazing.  We made our way first to the fortress above the city, where we got amazing views, and a short tour.  Then we just walked around the rest of the day.  We saw Mozart's house and the house he was born in, and saw the cathedral.  We ate lunch on the bank of the river, which was really relaxing, and tried our first Mozart ball candy, which was weird but tasty.  We only had a day in Salzburg, so we didn't do too much, but it was really nice to just walk around the city and look at all the little shops and everything.  After we got our fill of walking around, we made our way to the train station to catch our train to Vienna.
