So after another excellent night of sleep on yet another night bus/ferry.  It was time to visit the infamous Pink Palace.  At full capacity, the hostel can hold over 500 wondering minds.  Famous for it's toga nights, "booze cruse", and plate smashing parties, we were in for a hell of a stay. When we first checked in, keep in mind it was 9:00am, we were each given a free shot of Greece's famous ouzo liqueur.  A hell of a way to wake you up after a night of poor sleep on a bus.

Our first day there was spent walking the town and checking our the sites.  Not much to see in the historical aspect.  But the scenery was incredible.  So amazing, that it is raved about in Homer's Odyssey.  The next day we rented mopeds and cruised the hillsides.  Our experienced moped driver, John, didn't fare too well off the start.  About five minutes in, he and Matt took a corner too fast and the bike slipped out from under them.  A couple scrapes and a couple of ruined shirts later we were off again.  Near the end of the drive, we were caught by an unexpected storm.  I tell ya, when it rains out here, it rains.  It was pretty neat though, the lighting was striking all around us.  It was then that we decided it was probably a good idea to call it a day.  The next day was spent at the beach body surfing the waves and exploring with kayaks. That evening, we were in store for a traditional greek party of togas, dancing, and plate smashing.  So after about a solid hour of trying to put those bloody togas on, we made our way out for a traditional greek dinner - apparently the greeks invented backed chicken and mashed potatoes?  Aside from the dinner, the night did not disappoint.  The plate smashing was pretty interesting and dancing with togas made it well...difficult.  But ya, all in all Corfu was an amazing place, it gave off an almost mystical feeling when there was a thick mist in the mornings.  We would all highly recommend it and hopefully, once again visit another day!
