Today we got on the Big Bus and went around London. We saw all the parks, the palaces. We travelled all around. We then stopped for something to eat at Fortnum & Masons. They had the best ice-cream, even Mum & Dad’s cappacinos came with a minature ice-cream cone! We then went to Harrods and the toy section was unreal - I bought an airbazooka, Lexie spent nearly all her English pounds on stuff. We also got to visit Hamley’s. This is a five story toy store, each floor was for something different – the basement was for electrical and gadgets, 1 was all sorts of stuffed toys, 2 was pre-school (we skipped that one), 3 was for girls (we skipped that too – Lexie wasn’t interested), 4 was for remote control and boys stuff, 5 was for boys too but was partly under renovation. We had great fun in this shop, I definitely recommend coming to London for this store alone! Back on the bus we saw more stuff – Notting Hill, Marble Arch, Trafalgar Square and Westminster (none of it as interesting as Harrods toy section or Hamleys). At Westminster we got off the bus and cruised up the Thames (London’s river). We took some great photos of the London Eye and had an interesting commentary from the crew. They told us all sorts of interesting stuff – like, one time, they were passing under a bridge and they said that if we waved to the people walking over the bridge and they waved back it was seven years of luck – so we waved and people waved back and then the crew guy said it was seven years BAD luck! Anyway, he said that waving at people stopped them from throwing stuff – except for one time when some one threw a strawberry milkshake and it covered some guy – the crew guy said it was the funniest thing that he had ever seen – the passenger wasn’t too happy though! Tomorrow, London Dungeon and London Tower…….ooooooooh spooky!!!!
